SG RESTAURANT WEEK

みなさん、こんにちは!

Did you guys know that SG RESTAURANT WEEK is taking place this month?I only found out about it this year.😝

The event is held twice a year, and visitors can choose their favourite restaurant from the many participating restaurants and enjoy special prices only during this period, 4 Oct - 27 Oct!🍽️🙌

In addition to Italian, French, Chinese and Spanish, many Japanese restaurants also participate. Moreover, there are more Japanese restaurants than any other cuisine, so this is a great opportunity to experience them!🇯🇵

I eat a lot of Japanese food, but I have never been to any of the restaurants on the list, so I am keen to give them a try.🏃💨

The one I am interested in is Gyutan-Tan. You may know that Japanese people eat a lot of YAKINIKU, Japanese BBQ, and beef tongue is a very popular part of the meat. In Japan, it is widely eaten not only as yakiniku but also as set meals and donburi, rice bowl.🥩✨

Unagiya Ichinoji also looks good. One of the foods that the Japanese eat in autumn is eel, because the fish is in season from October to December. Singapore is hot all year round, but you can still experience autumn through food. In fact, it would be best if I could go to Japan…😂

All the restaurants have a set price that includes a starter and dessert rather than a single main, and lunch in particular is a good place to try for the first time, as it is set cheaper than in the dinner. Of course, it's still not cheap, but it's an opportunity to enjoy the autumn flavours!🍂🍁🍂

If you are studying Japanese, you may be able to practise by talking to Japanese staff while you are at it. Order in Japanese!🗣️
